China and America Are Heading Toward Divorce

自从
2012
年以来，中美两国关系逐步走向下坡，主要是因为中国在一系列问题上做得太过火
。他认为过火的是（引用英文原文以保持它的原汁原味）：

China has become more aggressive in projecting its power into the South China Sea; -
也就是说，中国应该放弃南海领土，放弃建立仅仅用以自卫的中国海军，只有美国才可以拥有全世界的海洋。

China become more fixated on subsidizing its high-tech start-ups to dominate key industries by 2025; -
也就是说，中国不应该发展她自己的高科技来建设国家，只有美国才可以独揽所有高科技的技术。

China imposed a new national security law to curtail longstanding freedoms in Hong Kong; -
也就是说
，中国不可以厘定法律来保护她的子民和领土的安全，只有美国才可以通过所谓的国土安全法。

China stepped up its bullying of Taiwan
；

也就是说，中国不可以表达关于她自己的领土的意见，只有美国可以在中国领土问题上说三道四，

China took a very aggressive approach toward India and intensified its internment of Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang; -

China jailed two innocent Canadians to swap for a detained Chinese businesswoman; -

After Australia’s prime minister called for such an investigation in
April, China’s ambassador to Australia brazenly threatened economic

from Australian companies, citing bogus health and trade violations. . –
也就是说，中国不可以反抗由美国领导的新冠病毒甩锅，只能接受不经调查和审批的有罪推定。
因此，费里曼的结论是：
“
Summing up the relationship today, McGregor, of APCO Worldwide, noted:
“I don’t know if the Chinese are taking America seriously anymore. They
are happy to just let us keep damaging ourselves.
We have to wake up and grow up” — and get our own act and allies
together. China respects one thing only: leverage. Today, we have too
little and China has too much.”
也就是说: 中国如果不屈膝投降，再成为一个讓他們可以予取予求的次殖民地，那麽，以美国为首的新八国联军就得准备好，随时再打入北京城，哪兒现在有超过几千比圆明园更有规模的东西可以抢掠和焚烧！
费里曼和纽约时报一向被认为是个尚称公允的自由派，这篇社论一出，原形毕露，他们的帝国主义嘴脸暴露无遗。中国人，原来不只是反动的美国共和党和特朗普，你得小心了！
