为排队抢购尿湿裤子的美国人

2005年8月16日《美联社》报导美国维吉尼亚州首府里乞蒙辖下Henrico郡以50美元对郡民廉售1000台已用过四年的电脑，没想到前一天晚上就有人争相漏夜排队，第二天清早七点大门一开，近6000人蜂拥而入，结果造成17人受伤，4人须送医治疗的暴民场面。

 

其间有人拿折叠椅驱赶插队群众，甚至有开车冲撞以抢得先机者，人说美国文化日趋粗鄙，应非无稽。最不可思议的是有位女子内急但为避免丧失排队权益竟当众尿在裤子上。 （ One woman went so far as to wet herself rather than surrender her place in line.）

 

为贪小便宜，不顾颜面一至于此。中国古代的政治家管仲说：“仓廪实，则知礼节；衣食足，则知荣辱。”对照美国农业部称2008年全美有4900万人是处在食物供应不安全的状态（49.1 million (16.4 %) Americans lived in food insecure households compared to 36.2 million (12.2%) in 2007.），再参波士顿市长Thomas M. Menino于2007年12月17日为文直指：

 

“饥饿在横跨全美的高居家花费社区是一日渐增长的议题，但常常是一个仍被隐藏的问题。在波士顿这边，我已试着让这个问题及饥饿议题对一般人更清楚、更真实。”

就知财富集中极少数人者其人民的饥寒与匮乏。
