.. Liberation and safety of all Russians in the Ukraine, destruction of a dangerous foe seeking to endanger the existance of your country and most importantly a crippling blow to the EU which could potentially make Russia THE European power...
.. Whereas ending the war prematurely would mean that the danger from Ukraine would still be there (in even greater form), the genocide of Russians and destruction of Russian culture and language in the Ukraine and continued domination of the US on the European continent.
