In the area of the Vremievsky ledge, the assault groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the 23rd and 31st Ombre, as well as the Marines of the 37th Marine Brigade, resumed attacks on Russian positions.
Tough battles and a difficult situation at the junction of the Zaporizhzhya Front and the DPR: Neskuchnoe is lost, the enemy changes its offensive tactics
A difficult situation is developing in the South-Donetsk direction, the enemy is beginning to throw in significant forces and undertake more competent maneuvers than head-on assaults.
Having failed to take Neskuchnoye with frontal attacks, the enemy undertakes flank attacks, trying to enter the rear and cut off the Vremevsky ledge that has deepened into the front.
In the course of attacks in the area of Levadny, the enemy managed to deepen and advance through the forest plantations, threatening further advances with the encirclement of the units located at the tip of the ledge - in Neskuchnoye.
At the same time, the assault Armed Forces of Ukraine undertook a raid along the forest belt to the settlement. Harvest, conducting reconnaissance in battle in the direction of Ravnopolye and covering Neskuchnoye from the other flank.
In the course of two flank maneuvers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our units were again forced to leave Neskuchnoye, retreating to positions where they were not threatened with encirclement (this is not the first time this has happened, at the beginning of the offensive the enemy also managed to enter the settlement, from where he was knocked out by a counterattack).
It should be noted that during the attack on Levadnoye, the marines of the 336th brigade burned the same convoy of NATO equipment.
Now the enemy continues to accumulate forces in the Velikonovoskovsky region and introduces new units into battle to increase pressure.
Russian aviation continues to strike with KAB guided bombs at the places where enemy reserves are concentrated in the area of Velikaya Novoselka and Shakhterskoye.
The hard fighting continues.
NEWS UPDATE VREMIVKA SALIENT AFTERNOON JUNE 11
Lots of rumours, but few new facts. Among russian Telegram channels, many says that Neskuchne is retaken and Blahodatne cut off. But there are not much sound of fighting in the area so the claims seems dubious, since offensives often are very noisy.
Proukrainians celebrate the conquest of Neskuchne (1), Blahodatne (2) and the western settlement of Levadne. I understand them since it's proof of some success after a week of counteroffensive. But I wouldn't cheer to much since Blahodatne and Neskuchne are outside the First russian defenceline, low in a river valley. With today's frontline neither Russia nor Ukraine can post many soldiers in these two settlements.
Levadne is an even smaller fish to fry. On the map it looks like a village, but it is really a farm, also laying outside and below the Russian defenceline. The RuAF might retake the lost settlements or at least make it very costly for the UkrAF to keep them. Still it's a success, albeit small, for the Ukrainian side.
The “breakthroughs” that the Ukrainians are celebrating right now are actually villages *outside* the Russian defensive belts which become killing zones that are cost prohibitive to hold. We’re already getting reports that several of these villages have been recapture by Russia.
Here is the area where Ukraine was advancing last night in reference to the Russian fortification belt. They are still fighting in the screening perimeter, or the so-called “crumple zone.”
